Description
The acetylated seven-residue fragment of thymosin beta-4 (Ac-LKKTETQ), corresponding to the actin-binding region of that protein. It is not the full-length 43-residue protein, which is a separate molecule with a mass near 4963 Da; a correct TB-500 lot reports a mass close to 889 Da. Supplied as a lyophilised powder against a lot-specific certificate of analysis, for laboratory research use only.
TB-500 is the acetylated seven-residue fragment of thymosin beta-4, not the full-length 43-residue protein (which has its own CAS, 77591-33-4, and a mass near 4963 Da). A correct TB-500 certificate of analysis shows a mass close to 889 Da. Some suppliers also confuse TB-500 with Ac-SDKP, an unrelated tetrapeptide - Delta does not.
